How do I make a call with real-time text (RTT) or teletype (TTY)?

To place a call using RTT, follow these steps:

1. From the main screen, tap the "Phone" icon.
2. If necessary, tap the "Contacts" tab. Locate and tap the desired contact, then tap the phone number you would like to call.
3. Tap "RTT/TTY Call" or "RTT/TTY Relay Call."
4. Once the call connects, tap the "RTT/TTY" icon.
5. Enter the desired message in the text message field. Then, tap the "Send" icon. To transmit audio during the call, tap the "Microphone" icon.
   • Note: If "Send Immediately" is enabled, the recipient will be able to view your message as you type, and you will be able to view their message as they enter a response.
6. To disconnect the call, select the "End call" icon.
