How do I make a call with real-time text (RTT)?

To place a call using RTT, follow these steps:

1. From the main screen, tap the "Phone" icon.
2. If necessary, tap the "Keypad" or "Dial pad" icon or tab. Enter the phone number of the person you would like to call.
3. Tap the "RTT" icon to place your call. The recipient will be invited to join the RTT call.
   • Note: If the "RTT" icon is not displayed, tap the "Phone" icon to place your RTT call. If the call does not connect as an RTT call, please see the "What is real-time text with calls? How do I enable it?" FAQ for instructions to turn RTT "On."
4. Once the call connects, enter the desired message in the text message field. The recipient will be able to view your message as you type, and you will be able to view their message as they enter a response.
5. To disconnect the call, tap the "End" icon.
